Beyonce Quenches Fans Thirst with the Release of "Lemonade"

The Beyhive rejoiced when Beyonce finally released her long awaited project Lemonade on HBO Saturday. Lemonade is the singer's second visual album and the visuals ( short film) and lyrics had everyone talking.

Songs like "Sorry" alluded to cheating in her relationship with Jay Z (those memes are hilarious btw) while "Freedom" featuring Kendrick Lamar and of course "Formation" promotes black girl magic. In fact, the short film celebrated black women in a way we have never seen before.

The singer called on black girl power activists Zendaya Coleman and Amandla Stenberg, model Winnie Harlow, actress Quvenzhane Wallis, singers Chloe and Halle Bailey and Serena Williams who was twerking for the gods.

She even featured Mike Brown's mother and Trayvon Martin's mother who both held pictures of their late sons.

I'm loving the direction that Beyonce is starting to take with her music. She always find ways to reinvent herself, which is a must to continue to thrive in the industry.

With so much positive images shown throughout the film, everyone is stuck on whether or not Jay Z cheated on our queen. It seems like she's going to let us make that conclusion ourselves.

Until then, I have to learn the words of every song on Lemonade so I can be in formation by Sunday when I will see Beyonce live in concert for the first time ever! :D
