What You Should Know About Vision Boards

Vision boards are a fun and creative way to layout your goals for the New Year. They have gained popularity with each year and there are even parties dedicated to them. The year before last, my friends and I decided to stay in for the New Year and create vision boards instead of going out. It was a great bonding moment as we all shared what our goals were for 2017. This is my third year making a vision board and with each board, I see progress. In fact, I either completed or attempted almost everything I had on my vision board for last year and so that only made me want to aggressively go after everything this year.

For 2018, I want to continue on my journey of health and wellness and expand in that area, start back writing scripts, be more active in my community, read more, make more money, get into a serious relationship and live a happy, fulfilling life! These goals are actually an extension of some of the goals I had on my last vision board, but I am determined to bring them all to fruition this year. What many may fail to recognize is that you can't make a vision board and just live your life wishing and hoping that everything will happen without some real action behind it. A vision board is just a blueprint to help you work towards your dreams. Once you complete it, hang it up in place that you will see it every day as a constant reminder of what you're working towards (I have mines hanging up in my bedroom.)

These are just a few things to remember when making a vision board. It's truly a positive experience and an excellent way to check how far you've come with your goals. I even have a mini board that complements my vision board that I call a progress board. I came up with this idea after talking with a friend who sets goals that she wants to be completed for the year by listing specific goals every three months. This is also a smart way to track your progress instead of waiting until the end of the year to see if you've reached your accomplishments. I hope some of these things are helpful for you as you pursue your dreams.
